Calling all amateur weatherpersons who know nothing about weather but are looking for some social media love and a free trip for two to a Caribbean Island paradise. Aruba might want your services for a week.
Now through March 31, the Caribbean Island nation known as “one happy island” is accepting applications to serve as its weatherperson for one week. And considering that Aruba enjoys temperatures in the 80s with cooling trade winds year-round and more sunny days per year than any other Caribbean Island, it’s no wonder the position is being hailed as the World’s Easiest Job. The contest is open to all legal adult residents of the lower 48 U.S. states, and no purchase is necessary to enter.
“So often, unexpected weather conditions force travelers to reschedule their long-awaited vacations,” Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority, said in a statement. “Fortunately, Aruba is blessed to have consistently clear, sunny skies, making it the perfect destination for visitors to explore and enjoy any time of the year. Through the World’s Easiest Job campaign, we are aiming to find the perfect weatherperson to help us showcase the island’s wonderful weather.”

The lucky winning weatherperson will receive roundtrip airfare and accommodations for two for seven days and six nights at the island’s newest hotel property, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort. The 330-suite hotel sits across from Eagle Beach, consistently rated as one of the best beaches in the world. The winner will also be featured on the island’s social media channels.
Aruba is a welcoming destination for LGBTQ+ travelers. Same-sex sexual relations are legal in the country, and PDAs like holding hands are not frowned upon in this former Dutch colony.
If you think you have what it takes to excel at the World’s Easiest Job, you’ll need to submit a 30-second video with your own weather forecast for the island paradise. Aruba helpfully suggests predicting 80 degrees and perfect in your video.
